Zaid Boyd
As he has close friends who are Somalian Muslims (may Allah reward them), it did not take long for him to discover Islam. At the age of 15 was when he took his Shahada (Zaid was then known as Peter). He is now 18 years of age and studying his final years at Reservoir District Secondary College. He spends a lot of his time with his friends, one in particular, Abdulahi and his family.
You will always find Brother Zaid at the Masjid for Friday night Lectures. He loves going to Melbourne University when there are big Islamic lectures on. As Brother Zaid sang at some lectures and events, he is getting well known in the Melbourne community. For those who have seen him, Gift of Life is the nasheed he is well known by.

Brother Zaid's singing experience started at a young age. Alhumdulillah, now he wants to use his talent for Islam and for Allah SWT, to give dawah through his nasheeds.
He is also learning how to read the Qur'an in Arabic, may Allah make it easy for him, Ameen.
